What I do
organisations

CULTURE
Organisational culture can be hard to grasp and build deliberately, yet it is also the one thing that makes or breaks companies. One way to define organisational culture is as the behaviours exhibited by most people in the company. Whatever has become the norm of behaviour and process in your company will define the outcome of your business strategy. When employees don’t feel comfortable sharing ideas at work they’re less likely to stay, and high turnover is an expensive problem to have. In my work with organisations I focus on the three areas of clear purpose, motivated people and agile processes. I collaborate with managers, teams and People & Culture leads mapping organisational culture, working with gathering people data through surveys and interviews & setting up agile processes to work on strenghtening these aspects.
Learning & development strategy
One of the prerequisites for innovation and business success is having a strong culture of learning. My mission is to help build strong learning organisations, which are constantly growing and adapting to the changing business environment. The question to answer is not what do people need to learn, but what do they need to be able to do in the future? In partnership with functions, managers & teams, I design and implement long & short term learning initiatives which support the long-term business strategy. These may include building a company values framework, training in adaptive leadership, coaching teams in ways of working & company-wide peer-to-peer sessions to build knowledge and unified ways of working.
Process design & facilitation
Once you know the culture you want to nurture and the learning that needs to happen within your organisation, it comes down to daily hands-on practice. As an experienced process designer & facilitator, I run social learning events, team sessions and company-wide workshops on effective ways of working, building high-performance teams, conflict management, self-leadership, coaching mindset, feedback, process design & facilitation, presentation skills & wellbeing. I work with 3 person teams to 300 people, both online and in-person.
How we
can work together
Culture analysis
A design-thinking process to understand your culture, its challenges and opportunities. We work with data & metrics to deep-dive into people needs and driving forces. The starting point can be results from your existing people survey data, or we can build a framework for gathering data together. The data tells us where to look, but not how to solve problems. Through user interviews and analysis, we gather insights, form problem statements & design solutions. This can be a good basis for defining your company values, as well as consciously building on supportive behaviours within your organisation.
Leadership development
Based on your organisational needs and structure, I design & deliver company-wide leadership development initiatives both online and in-person. This can look like a leadership programme for new managers, with a focus on developing core skills needed in any leadership position such as feedback, conflict management, team-building, wellbeing and self-leadership. Or it can be a self-paced programme with on-demand content and a community aspect, so that you can also learn from other leaders experiences within the company. I also work with consulting individual leaders within the company, supporting them in personal development, working with survey results and building specific skills within their team.
Sessions and workshops
Learning is a social act. Research shows that we grow and develop the most when we share new knowledge with others and implement new ways of working in our day-to-day. I develop and deliver company-wide community learning initiatives to create space for different teams to learn from each other, as problems in one team might have an existing solution in another. I also work with specific departments within organisations to understand their needs & challenges, designing custom hands-on sessions and initiatives. While the themes vary depending on the organisation, they cover the aspects of effective ways of working, team dynamics, conflict management, self-leadership, creativity, communication & wellbeing.
